As jet fuel costs continue to trend up, United and Delta have strapped in for the long haul, quietly edging out competitors in a downturn. United’s heavy investment in premium offerings for brand loyalists has kept it steady.
by Aria Velasquez Delta Airlines (DAL) has agreed to buy 250 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel from Aemetis (AMTX) over the next 10 years, the companies announced on September 30.
Delta Air Lines is not losing as much money a day as it was earlier in the pandemic and has its sights set on having positive cash flow in the spring, but the company still posted a large loss in the third quarter.
